Windstream Communications to Sponsor Arkansas Triathlon Series ...

Windstream Communications, a leading provider of advanced network communications and a FORTUNE 500 company, has partnered with DLT Event Management to become the Presenting Sponsor of the Arkansas Triathlon Series which contains 10 races.? The Windstream Triathlon Series started with the first race in Hot Springs Village on May 18 and concludes with the final race on Oct. 19, 2013 in Arkadelphia.

The series is made up of seven sprint distance or shorter races, two intermediate distance races and one long distance race. The series races have the standard?swim-bike-run?triathlon format, but one of the sprint distance races and the single long distance race are XTERRA format, off-road races where the cycling and running are done on trails. The XTERRA EPIC is also a part of the first national epic distance off-road triathlons. The racers are ranked by age group and some special categories.
