Of course there are dogs who benefit from just swimming in a pool to stretch their bodies and get their joints moving. This is a form of pet physical therapy in itself. A mobile dog is a healthy dog. A couch potato becomes riddled with health issues as they age. As it is with people, move it or lose it! For the health of a dog, swimming in a pool or engaging in underwater treadmill exercises, is a gift of many years added onto their life.
