Aptina adds HDR to automotive image sensors | PMA Newsline

CMOS imaging systems provider Aptina introduced two dedicated automotive image co-processors that enable flexible camera platforms using high dynamic range sensors.

The two-chip solutions ?combines megapixel-resolution sensor support, superior image quality including HDR, and optimal heat dissipation,? the company says.

The AP0101AT delivers 1.2-megapixel video at 45 fps and 720p video at 60 fps, and supports 185-degree fisheye lens distortion correction, perspective correction and multiple view options such as split side view, triptych and trailer hitch. The HDR sensors include the 1/3 -inch optical format AR0132AT.
